.. sorry I've not been updating this blog. (Really busy keeping up with my other 2 stores! +__+)

Anyhoo, I'm glad to announce that ADELINE'S LOFT now has a proper subscription when I update the store for new additions or announcements. If you would like to be kept abreast with new creations, please head on down and subscribe away! =)

On a lighter note, I've been feeling very happy and extremely excited to have a surge of new buyers to my store every week! *giggles* Thanks so much all of you! The past 2 weeks was amazing for me!
There was a shopping frenzy at my jewelry store and I had sold so many creations that I received "complains" that there's not many left to buy! LOL
Now really, that is more of a compliment for me. =p

Does it really work?

Yesterday, I purchased a bracelet for myself. It is not just an ordinary bracelet that I could have made for myself. (Believe me I was tempted to!) It burnt a BIG HOLE in my teensie weenie pocket!

Actually, I am still rather skeptical about the "wonders" that was raved to me. I did my homework (somewhat) , visited forums and bloggers who owned it. There were those that were like me, skeptical and said it was a psychological thing. If you think it works, it will work! Hey, if it really works cos I think it will work, then it should be worth it anyway?! haha! Then there were others that swore by it!

This is what I got :

It claims to help improve blood circulation, which I need. Ever since my foot injury, the ankle has been feeling weak and leg feels numby. It claims to help with arthritis - not that I have but I do experience occasional tightness and pain in the knees. There are many many other claims that it can do wonders to one's health.

The salesperson at the shop had been helpful and patient with me. I even asked, if it works wonders, won't it do miracles for a lot of people? I can't remember what he replied me. But he is confident that I will be back to buy more for my family. I told him, "We shall see!" =p

So I am now experimenting with this "health bracelet". Will give it a few weeks to see if there's any improvement at all and will update here.

Apologies for being missing in action for a while! It's been crazy juggling time since the new school term started... (oh I'm not in school, my 2 kids are!!)

ADELINE'S LOFT has closed its shipping in time for Christmas. All purchases made now will only be sent via local standard mail. But do expect delays from the post office as festive time is a very busy time for them. =)

The store will also be taking a break. (again!) We will be closed between 24-26 Dec 08. Though I will still check my emails daily so.... it doesn't really matter?! *__*

But being me, I don't think creativity will come in the way!! I will still try to make some creations when time permits.

I made these 2 very different kinds of earrings today.
Valencia (on the left) has a very romantic and mysterious feel with my handmade clay beads with brass accents.

Sugar Pearls (right) is just too sweet to begin any description!
Made with mauve tone freshwater potato pearls, its quite irresistable!

I've added these 2 newbies in my gallery yesterday.

'Kaylene' necklace boasts a beautiful oval natural amazonite donut pendant with amethyst swarovski crystals and pewter flower wired on the top.

'Sierra' earrings is made simply with coffee tone glass briolettes and lovely fairy wings that adds a certain zest to it. (Before I can even post this blog for 'Sierra', it has already been reserved!!)

I received an email this morning and read it with a heavy heart.

Crafted-with-Love will be closing their store.

I must commend Mandy, who spear headed this project for a good cause in helping with raising funds for animals in need of shelter and food. As a contributor, we would donate our work and all proceeds will go to a specific local animal shelter.

Nonetheless, I sincerely hope Crafted-with-Love will make a comeback when the time permits for Mandy to work on it again. You can count on my support! ^__^

They are both in rose quartz stones and looks very elegant.

The earrings are in brass accents with my handmade clay lentils.

Packages now comes with my handmade pouches lined with bubble wrap on the inside as a protective layer for your delicate jewelries.

It took me quite a while to get these made in different sizes but no worries, there are no extra costs tagged to the prices of jewelries! I made these as an extra personal touch. ^__^

The idea for my new packaging was inspired by Dusty of 27things. She's a really talented lady!

*EXAMS!!

My son's exams are around the corner. Yikes! It feels like I am the one sitting for it because I basically have to sit down to decide what he should learn and solve math that really tricks you with the English, not the method of solving it. *__*

Sometimes I feel kind of pressured for my son to perform somewhat to everyone's expectations. Given the society we live in, its really nothing new. Even if you don't want to be in the rat race, you just have to join in else guess who will lose out in life? *__*

Anyway, I think my crafting will take a little backseat for the moment just to be around for him. (Of course I will steal in time to do some if I can =p)

I made this necklace today using AC513, one of the unsold set of gold foiled handmade clay beads from my recent batch. The colors go so well together! I have used one side of the necklace with gold plated oval links (my favourite!) and bronze tone accents for a subtle look. You know, sometimes using gold tone either make or break a creation. But here, it is simply stunning! =)

Busy Caning

I had been busy making these new clay canes today! =)

*Dang! my shoulders are aching so much*

This is my other downside to crafting. When inspiration hits (sometimes at odd hours), you just gotta get down to making it! There's no stopping unless you REALLY have to. The main downside is TIME! I know I have to be discipline about my time management else the kids will have to live in a dusty home and go hungry! =p

I have prepared these new canes for use with my next batch of bead sale - well I should be holding one next week HERE. These canes are also for use in bead customisations. Jewelry Makeover!

A customer of mine turned good friend, owns quite a fair bit of necklaces that I've made so far.
The original design of the above necklaces (shown inset) were more than a year old and looked a little outdated! So we arranged to have it returned to me for a jewelry makeover.

Wala!

With a few replacement of beads, parts and re-arrangement of beads position, the necklaces are given a new life! =D

Hair Clip Debut

This is my first try making a polymer clay bead hair clip!
I could only think of making a flower shape design when I embarked on this. Didn't turn out so bad after all. =)

It's been a while since I came out with earring designs.
I hope I won't disappoint the earring fans out there with my latest creations!

'Rosa' is a cabochon style earrings - large clear faceted bronze studs embedded with my handcrafted glittered rose polymer clay frame. Brass dragonfly is wired on for a unique touch. This is an exclusive design!

'Delphine' is made with my hand crafted polymer clay beads in sweet peach and pink hues. The gold foil on the beads brings out the lovely blend of colors. Dyed bronze freshwater pearls tops the clay beads. What's unique here is the mismatched bead shapes that makes it so one-of-a-kind!

'Rosa' and 'Delphine' will be available in store today for S$19.00 & S$20.00 respectively.

The Sticker Affair

Last week, I was browsing through a fellow crafter's blog : Nature Autumn Designs and chanced upon an interesting post of which she featured an etsy artist and it enticed me to enter a contest just for fun!

And guess what I won?!!

These customised stickers are the creations of Red Head Diva Paper and it promptly arrived all the way from the USA within days! She certainly has very interesting range of sticker designs and really, I was spoilt for choice! I love the stickers I chose so very much apart from the many others that caught my eye. Geez it almost could pass off looking like my clay beads! =p

Red Head Diva Paper is definitely one of most generous artist I've ever come across and am very honored to receive her work of art. The stickers are of very good quality and came well packaged. Do pay her etsy store a visit and perhaps, customise a sticker for yourself too? =)

A birthday affair!

I was in a fluster last week when I found out that my husband was going for a business trip and could not rely on him to get a birthday pressi for my dear daughter - whose birthday falls on this Thursday. (If you don't already know, I have been confined to my home due to a foot injury and have been in a cast.)

Lo and behold, I found Tokomama.com on the internet and got this!

It's my daughter's first sewing kit! Ain't it cute? It comes completed with everything she needs to sew a few soft toys, a bag and a book cover! All with pre-cut shapes and instructions. I so just love the case!

The package arrived tonight nicely wrapped which the owner Sally, kindly offered to do so for me. I am obviously pleased because my daughter gave me the biggest and wettest kiss of thanks! ^__^ Priceless.

Now, there's certainly no excuse for anyone to miss a child's birthday anymore! =p
